Grandma's Ice Cream and Waffles - Family-Owned Vegan & Classic Ice Cream Shop in Rockville, MD

Incredible vegan food, so many options it's hard to choose! Grandma is so sweet and kind. Very thorough during the ordering process and we got exactly what we ordered. Tried the veggie wrap, Mac n cheese, tater tots and a PBJ Waffle sundae. Everything was delicious. I can't wait to visit again. My daughter is obsessed with the big giant waffle outside.

Very tasty ice cream and warm toasty waffles, perfect dessert for a summer afternoon Grandma herself greeted us and told us about the different menu items. She made it very easy to customize our orders. Our orders were out very quickly and my friends and I drew on the chalkboard there while waiting for our ordered. There were a lot of additional food items aside from desserts but I didn’t try them this time. I’ll be sure to drop by when I’m in Rockville again. Hope to see you again, Grandma!

This place is perfect for a cozy brunch, that works for mixed vegan/non-vegan families and friend groups! It so lovely to be able to fully participate in the decadent waffle options they make here, with vegan toppings. I had a pumpkin waffle with their in-house vegan whipped cream and caramel sauce and added some vegan vanilla ice cream. 10/10! I also had a delicious egg-free omelette stuffed with veggies and tasty vegan cheddar. The people who helped us seemed as excited to be there as we were and were so helpful with our first time going over the menu.

Totally Yummy handmade ice cream (no additives) and yummy little corner waffles under the ice cream! (The serve food too). Super cute and colorful inside. Creative ice cream sundaes with or without waffles. Grandma is a real person, and her son Alan (big, nice guy) works there...and is warm and kind. There is a small little table for the kids, next to a wall blackboard the kids can use to keep them entertained while you eat. And there are high chairs for the little ones. It is a bit of a challenge to find...Google maps got me there. Gotta try! Actual Grandma and son family ice cream (and yummy food too!)shop.

About 1/3 of the menu is vegan. They have a wide variety of savory and sweet options!! They are a family owned business and Grandma will usually greet you at the door!! We had a nice chat with the owner too (the son)

Amazing vegan food! We tried the chickn drummies, chili Mac, breakfast sandwich and a waffle sundae and it was all delicious and fresh, like comfort food that doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. We met the owner who was so kind and explained how conscious they are of their ingredients and what all they make in house. It was refreshing to find a place so knowledgeable about dietary preferences and seems to care about their products, service and customers.

Vegan review: Not a single thing I didn't like Vegan chicken and waffles are better than I expected Vegan egg and sausage spinach wrap with vegan pepper jack was delicious. The vegan Mac and cheese is so good ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Top 3 vegan macs I have ever had Red skin potatoes were good but heavy oil. Vegan strawberry milkshake with fruity pebbles ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ they keep their crunch a while. Vegan apple caramel delight waffle was very good fresh, hot apples and waffle with delicious vanilla soft serve with delightful whip cream⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had the shredded chicken wrap. The chicken was nice and fresh pulled chicken. Probably the best wrap I've had in a long time. My mom had vegan ice cream and really enjoyed it too. The people here were friendly and made it a pleasurable first visit. We'll definitely be back!
